Today was such a surprise! First we went to a special needs school and met some amazing children that melted our hearts. Then we had an awesome lunch from a local restaurant (gracias Anibel!), with cantelope juice! In the afternoon we went to a senior center that was more like a nursing home, and met several spunky geriatrics. They were receiving better care than patients in many nursing homes in the USA. We played games to work on balance, did some salsa, and helped a few people walk for the first time in months. All in all, the trip has been an amazing experience so far.
